History OF THE ORGANISATION
India Reserve Battalion has been established by the Government of India for the State of Haryana in year 2001 vide Government of India letter No.II-27011/102/2000-PF.II (iii) dated 18.07.2001 duly conveyed by the Director General of Police Haryana to this office vide his office letter No. 14377/T-2 dated 28.10.2002. I.R.B. is governed by the provisions of Punjab Police Rules 1934 as adopted by the State of Haryana Police Act of year 2007(Haryana Act No. 25 of year 2008).
Indian Reserve Battalion number has now reached to four India Reserve Battalion in Haryana State.
- 1st Bn. IRB Bhondsi, Gurugram
- 2nd Bn. IRB Bhondsi, Gurugram
- 3rd Bn. IRB Sunaria, Rohtak
- 4th Bn. IRB Manesar, Gurugram
AIM & OBJECTIVES OF THE ORGANISATION
To ensure that every call from any of the higher authorities (State/Central govt. etc.) for its deployment to perform various law and order duties with local police , election duties be responded effectively and efficiently within or outside the State of Haryana.
To develop qualities of command/leadership and service among its employees/officers while performing their duties in public.
To get arranged for imparting specialized training to its officers/officials who can meet new growing challenges.
To make the Police a community oriented agency for the people.
Mission/Vision
India Reserve Battalion has been established by the Government of India for the State of Haryana in year 2001 and this number has now reached to four India Reserve Battalion in Haryana State. This force is helping the local police in performing its law and order duties and other important and sensitive duties like election duties within or outside from the State of Haryana. India Reserve Battalion is bound to give its best in maintenance of law and order whenever and whenever required.
